Ok so I tried a new twist on the pumpkin smoothie and I like this even better than the other one with leafy greens! Peas are super nutritious too and they complement the pumpkin flavor very well. Yum!
Makes 1-2 servings (2 small or one jumbo!)
8-12 oz coconut water or nut milk (or combo)
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 T ground flaxseed or hemp seeds
1 T pumpkin seeds
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, etc.)
Optional: protein powder (my Vega chocolate smoothie powder really added a nice flavor and helped me recover from CrossFit :)), sweetener to taste (dates or maple syrup or stevia–I didn’t use any but my Vega protein powder has a little stevia)
Blend and enjoy!
