‘Tis the season for apples! What to do with all this bounty? Here are some ideas!
Eat them raw as a snack! Nothing like biting into a juicy apple…yum!
Slice and dip in peanut butter or other nut butter
Juice! i.e.: kale (or other leafy green), apples, celery or cucumber, smidge of lemon
Throw in a smoothie!
Chop and add to your breakfast cereal/ granola/ oatmeal/ French toast/ pancakes
Chop and throw into your salad! Tonight I had: spinach, apple, avocado, pumpkin seed, with maple balsamic vinaigrette (just a balsamic vin with a smidge of maple syrup).
Roast with fall veggies (i.e. carrots, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, Brussels sprouts, etc.) and season with cinnamon, cloves, etc.
Sauté with a touch of oil or vegan butter, cinnamon and maple syrup and toss in some walnuts for a decadent dessert on its own or topping for your nice cream, “cheese”cake, etc.
